Joint operation by JPJ, DoE, narcotics division sees 967 summonses issued, 29 vehicles seized in KL

A joint operation held in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday noticed a complete of 967 summonses issued, and 29 automobiles seized, from a complete of two,397 automobiles which had been inspected all through the operation, reported The Star.

The operation was led by town site visitors investigation and enforcement division (JSPT), and collectively carried out with the narcotic crime investigation division, the street transport division (JPJ) and the division of atmosphere (DOE), in response to the report.

This was held throughout varied areas within the metropolis, together with Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan Bangsar, from 11am on Saturday to 5am on Sunday. “A complete of eight folks had been detained after they examined constructive for medication whereas 13 others had been picked up for drunk driving,” stated metropolis deputy police chief Datuk Azry Akmar Ayob.

“Anybody who performs harmful stunts on the street can be detained and prosecuted beneath the Highway Transport Act 1987,” Azry stated, and reminded the general public to observe directions from the authorities, together with stopping their automobiles at roadblocks.
