Weapons N’ Roses announce “amicable” cut up with long-term drummer Frank Ferrer


Weapons N’ Roses have introduced the departure of their long-term drummer Frank Ferrer after 19 years.

Ferrer was the longest-serving sticksman within the band, having joined them in 2006 to exchange Bryan Mantia, years earlier than frontman Axl Rose was reunited with Slash and bassist Duff McKagan. Their earlier drummers included Steve Adler and Matt Sorum.

In an announcement on social media, the band stated: “Weapons N’ Roses announce the amicable exit of Frank Ferrer, the longest-serving drummer of their storied run. The band thanks Frank for his friendship, creativity, and durable presence over the previous 19 years, they usually want him success within the subsequent chapter of his musical journey.

“Frank first joined GNR throughout a present in June 2006 serving to anchor the rhythm part throughout subsequent excursions, together with their current outings that includes the reunited trio of Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan.
